Aimee was born and raised in San Antonio, TX, the youngest of four girls. At seventeen Aimee began her art and design education. She would spend the next eight years studying art history, studio art and fashion design in Arizona, San Francisco, Italy, New York and Austin. Aimee received her BFA from Arizona State University with a focus in Fibers.
An avid animal lover, Aimee adopted her first rescue dog, Max, who would remain in her care for the next 18 years. During this time, her passion for animal welfare grew exponentially and has driven her focus on animal advocacy and awareness, especially towards ending the global dog meat trade. Her current rescue dog Barbie continues to foster Aimee’s dedication to animal causes.
Since moving to San Francisco in 2009, Aimee’s professional roles have included Regional Trainer for Whole Foods Market, Event Producer, Property Manager and Executive Administrative Assistant. Recently, Aimee shifted her focus to law and is currently working toward her paralegal certification. “I wear many different hats and I like to be in the know. There is something comforting about having a lot of tools in your belt. I always have been and always will be a helper.”
